Well, it’s over folks and boy did it disappoint. Was it just me or was this year’s MTV Video Music Awards the most lackluster live presentation ever? Britney showed up and did not perform, Kanye closed the show but never rapped and Kid Rock destroyed an old Lynrd Skynrd classic. Basically, NOTHING HAPPENED. There wasn’t anything shockingly great or awful, nobody made-out with Madonna and everyone seemed to perform on a set elsewhere instead of on stage at the actual awards show which takes all of the fun out of judging an artist’s live performance. Instead, we got Pink and T.I. running around street sets.
But yes, Britney did take the stage after a brief semi-funny skit with Jonah Hill. She looked great, sounded great and managed to appear normal. Check it out!
