Garbage fans rejoice!

May 29th, 2007, 11:26 pm by Crystal Olvera

Ah Garbage, how I love thee. Without the electric-rock/pop quartet, I might have never known my best friend, realized that combat boots and short skirts are sexy, or wished I was a redhead.

So, I’m happy that the band is back with the sparkly pop gem ”Tell Me Where It Hurts.” It’s got one of the best choruses I’ve heard in a while. Or maybe it just sounds great hearing Shirley Manson sing, ”They don’t like me, I can tell, but you do, so they can go to hell.”

After announcing that they would be going on an “indefinite hiatus” in 2005, and Shirley revealing her solo plans, it seemed as though the band was over. But the four members have regrouped for the release of “Absolute Garbage,” a ”best of” album slated to drop July 17.

The video is one of their best yet, only because Shirley seems to become more and more amazing to look at as the years go by.

However, as a pretty active Garbage fan (active as in my Garbage catalogue goes past “Version 2.0″) I’m a little disappointed with the album’s tracklisting. Sure, it’s covered all of it’s bases, but I was hoping the album would do more to showcase the less popular “Beautiful Garbage” and “Bleed Like Me.” Epic songs like “Parade,” “Run Baby Run” and “Right Between the Eyes” are missing. I guess I’d like them to be remembered for more than ”Stupid Girl” and “Special.” But what can a Garbage fan do?

Seriously though, isn’t this woman stunning?
