Did you watch the Grammys?

February 11th, 2008, 11:16 am by Crystal Olvera

In case you missed the Grammys, here are some of the highlights.
Alicia Keys and Frank Sinatra
The VMAs opened with Britney and the Grammys opened with Alicia Keys and a video clip of Frank Sinatra? Sigh, NEXT!

Carrie Underwood “Before He Cheats”
Not bad Carrie, considering this song is about 2 years old. I like the outfit.

The Time and Rihanna
The Rihanna love I had has died down over the past few weeks due to the release of “Don’t Stop the Music.” She’s back to being the overrated pop star with the right songs.

Kanye West "Stronger"
This looks like a taste of the glow-in-the-dark tour Kanye is bringing to us this year.

Kanye West “Hey Mama”
This actually brought a tear to my eye — no seriously. This is really depressing.

Fergie and John Legend “Finally”
Fergie, stop it, you can’t sing, just stop!

Tina Turner and Beyonce

Foo Fighters “The Pretender”
I’m tired of this song.

Feist “1,2,3,4″
A little on the boring side, but simple and sweet. I was expecting a little more considering the lengths she goes to for her videos.

Alicia Keys “No One”
Alicia, stop, seriously, stop!

Amy Winehouse “I’m No Good/Rehab”
Amy, I’m glad you said yes to rehab. You’re looking great and it’s refreshing to see you sober and happy to perform. I seriously thought you might pull a Britney on us.

Grammy people are sneaky!

February 5th, 2008, 2:19 pm by Crystal Olvera

If there was ever more proof that the Grammys could possibly be fixed, then send me an e-mail. Otherwise, this AP article about how the Grammys allows songs almost 2 years old to be nominated because they’ve achieved “prominence” is pretty good proof. I guess that gives Heidi Montag 2 years to get “Higher” to number one. She still has a chance!
