Kanye just posted a few screencaps from his new video with Coldplay’s Chris Martin for “Homecoming” on his blog. The song is one of my favorites from “Graduation.”

Looks like Kanye went back to Chi-town for a real life homecoming of his own. I don’t know if I dig the black and whiteness of it all, but I’m glad Chris made an appearance. He’s a big part of the song. I hope we get to see a live performance from both to promote the single.

New Video: “American Boy” by Estelle ft. Kanye West

Wednesday, February 27th, 2008 by Crystal Olvera

Lord knows I’ve never been one to hide my love for Kanye West. (He will actually grace me with his presence May 1 in Dallas!) So, I was ecstatic when I saw Britain’s Estelle feature him on her new single “American Boy,” a

New Video: “Flashing Lights” Kanye West

Wednesday, February 13th, 2008 by Crystal Olvera

What do you get when you put Kanye West, Spike Jonze and one of the best songs on “Graduation” together? You’d think it would be one of the most influential music video masterpieces ever created. But, sadly, it’s not. “Flashing Lights” had so much potential. SO MUCH POTENTIAL!!!! But a vengeful ex-girlfriend, Spike?! That’s all you got?! Booo to that! You’re better off watching this version.

Kanye West is just like you and me

I make it a point to visit Kanye West’s blog every now and then because he posts some nerdy, yet interesting crap like

kanyebeyonce.jpg

pictures of toilets made out of gold and crazy futuristic architecture as well as ‘dope ass beats’ (his words, not mine.) But since the death of his mother Donda West, he understandably stopped posting — that is, until today. And what has kept Mr. West’s spirits high after his very tragic loss? Playing Connect 4 with Beyonce, of course.

When I was in Europe I would play this game for hours and hours… it helped me zone out. Everybody would get envolved… Derrick Dudley (Common’s manager) and Consequence were the best other than me… I beat Lexi… Don C beat Jay… Tony Williams beat Common… but every now and then people would speak of this legendary connect 4 champion……….. BEYONCE!!! I had 2 play her!…so last night at Jay’s new 40/40 club in Las Vegas (which is sidebar, crazy big w/ 24krt gold flooring, Black Jack tables, $500 slot machines, the biggest projection screen in the universe and the best turkey burgers I’ve ever had in my life) she beat me 9 times in a row! (and I didn’t even spaz lol) here’s a photo of the only game I won!

Who knew Ms. Irreplaceable was a master of Connect 4? To check out more pics of

New Video: “The Good Life” by Kanye West ft. T-Pain

Sunday, October 28th, 2007 by Crystal Olvera

When I first heard Kanye West’s “Good Life,” I immediately tried to picture what the video would look like. Kanye isn’t one to put together a stereotypical “Good Life” video. You know what I’m talkin’ ’bout — limos, mansions, hoochies in diamonds, helicopters and yachts. It’s just too easy. So I’m glad he got animated. There’s seriously like

Why I love Kanye West

Monday, October 1st, 2007 by Crystal Olvera

Most people don’t like Kanye West’s candid rants about being the greatest artist in the world, mostly because he’s isn’t. The man has an ego the size of a train. But the reason I can’t get enough of the guy, is cause he recognizes that his ego is the size of a train — in his lyrics and on Saturday Night Live. The following clip is from this weekend’s SNL. In this clip, Kanye isn’t just furious about not winning a VMA, he’s also got tons more on his mind.
