Apparently, the Doc Martens UK campaign will feature dead musicians wearing the boots  in heaven. Writer Andrew Petch said:

“We wanted to communicate that Dr. Martens boots are ‘made to last,’ and we discovered that these idolized musicians wore them. Showing them still wearing their Docs in heaven dramatized the boots’ durability perfectly. And, as images, they feel very iconic.”

Uh…what the heck is going on? Durability? This is just in bad taste. Kurt Cobain, Joey Ramone, Sid Vicious, and Joe Stummer must be rolling in their graves. To see all the ads head over to Stereogum.
