Following up on the ping pong trend (even though this was probably written prior to the Enrique Iglesias single) is Operator Please with one of the best pop/punk numbers I’ve heard in a while. “Just a Song about Ping Pong” has handclaps (which automatically make any single piece of music awesome) loud guitars, easy sing-along lyrics and it kind of reminds me of that “The Fever” by The Von Bondies but with a teenage girl on vocals. Throw in a rainbow-colored video, the band running everywhere dressed in brightly colored capes and you’ve got a winner!
